small bits of glee
Jan. 8th, 2009 02:18 pmI find myself strangely gleeful at removing the ice/snow from my car this morning. It was a solid mass of ice/snow along the front and top of my car, but my wipers were up, and when I broke it up enough, I could just _push_ huge chunks of ice off my car, to shatter into small pieces on the ground.
This filled me with similar glee to that of cracking thin layers of ice in puddles, and breaking into a creme brule. Glee, I tell you!
Somewhat similar to that of crunching dry leaves in the fall, also.
That... crunching/crackling noise, plus the shattering of the solid object pleases me far too much. And it's not problematically destructive (indeed, freeing my car from its ice meant that I was able to get to work, and not throw those huge hunks of ice at people behind me).
Also, I did not fall on the ice that was my driveway this morning
