I feel like there must be _some_ form of video humor which involves people doing socially inappropriate things, except neither at anyone's expense nor involving embarrassing or making anyone uncomfortable.

Unfortunately, that particular form of humor is so pervasive, I can't come up with anything which still fits the category otherwise.

Can anyone come up with anything?

If you're wanting time to yourself, or wanting one-on-one time with someone, how aware are you of you of the presence of other people in your surroundings?

Does it matter if you're in an apartment, a house, outdoors?

Does it matter _why_ you want that time/space?

Utterly fascinated by the answers I'm getting to my previous post question, but in some cases at least, I think I phrased the question poorly in terms of what I actually wanted to know.

I don't mean the physical appearance of the inside of your eyelids (although, I note, that I _do_ also see; it's why I need as much darkness as possible to sleep), although those answers are surprisingly varied as well.

I mean... visualizing, imagination, things like that.

My imagination is not visual. The closest I get is motion (gestural communication? body language? Not really sure), and that's really only if my mind is wandering, I'm dreaming, or I'm parsing a figurative statement literally (as I nearly always do before catching the intended meaning).

Do you "see" the room around you if you're trying to navigate it with your eyes closed? Some other similar thing where you're seeing something with your eyes closed, but it is not the inside of your eyelids?

I note that I do sometimes see color/light flashes, when listening to techno and similar. But that's there with my eyes open in that case, too, it's just clearer with them closed.

When you close your eyes, do you see something?

again, cut to allow you to answer before knowing why I ask )

I am finding myself wondering how I would describe myself. Not what I do, although sometimes that is relevent. Not what I would like to be, or have been.

Let me give this a shot )

The trees are insufficiently green. Naked trees make it difficult to believe in Springtime!

Must remember to bring bags with me on walks, so instead of being annoyed by trash on the ground, I can pick it up and thow it away later.

Odyssey of the Mind - _that's_ what I was part of in junior high! Neat stuff.

Because now I'm curious, I offer you the example my mom gave me of a fluid reasoning-based qeustion. (it does require not already having run into it before, mind)

[Poll #1168310]

Ok, back to work.

[edit: There is no 'right answer'. Indeed, I suspect that this is part of a hallmark of a test of fluid reasoning, that there is not one]

I will take the poll and put my thoughts in comments, too, so no one gets biased. ;)

I'm lookin' at YOU, [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe and [livejournal.com profile] jasra!

So...

a) There's more skin showing. Which may or may not increase sexiness, depending on how the additional skin is showing. Also, cleavage.
b) I don't seem to be aware of the camara (ok, probably temporarily true. My shoes made me taller than [livejournal.com profile] jasra, and were therefore a significant distraction), so I'm not being ridiculous or otherwise posing in response to it (I do have some trouble handling being photographed, so this does not shock me).
c) Posture was not standing straight, nor totally straight on, so more body shape was visible. (yep. Curves. I suspect being accustomed to seeing myself from straight on will make it more difficult for me to see/notice this most of the time. The butt-wiggly picture from the back that I linked to was notable for _me_ because it's not a view I ever get, so I'm not accustomed to it)
d) People seem divided as to whether or not I look demure, amused, sultry, or something else entirely. (me? I think I look distracted, because I know that I _was_ at the time. I have trouble separating that knowledge to see how I might appear to others)
e) Clingy dress. (true. But so was the other picture. Perhaps it was especially clingy, even for clingy dresses?)

Also? Bats.

Also also? Y'all are good with the wording of things. I am actually able to _totally_ understand, with point b). (the others, while applicable, aren't as clear to me as significant differences from, say, the other pictures in the same batch)

I have no idea why point a) didn't occur to me when comparing with the dress I wore at halloween; perhaps because I feel more naked when there's ties that kept untying showing a bit more breast than was intentional, and because of the really high-cut leg-slit. (probably also because I don't _see_ myself from behind, ever)
