cutting a brief comment about giving blood because I don't want to squick anyone else )

[edit: I also adore the fact that my doctor is open-minded enough to adjust to my being poly, in her thinking. And believes me when I self-diagnose and/or tell her what I need done.]

cut because it's some political links )

How Leftist is LJ, really? )

I find it interesting that, even though I've not played them in a while, and _won't_, the fact that I'm trying to "sell my "Quest for Glory Anthology" on ebay makes me a little sad. I _like_ that series! And it's something I played a fair amount of as a kid. But I won't use it, so why keep it around?

A bunch of interesting bits of wisdoms recently gained on [livejournal.com profile] echospiralheart's journal are well worth reading, in my opinion.

So, considering how much I adore long hair (both on myself and others, regardless of the fact that my hair doesn't _like_ being long), I'm amused by how much this LJ post and comments amuses me.

I don't remember where I got this from, but it describes itself as an application that visually reflects the constantly changing landscape of the Google News news aggregator. It appears to use some sort of plugin; I'm guessing flash.

I'm finding myself both amused and bemused to be apparently unable to decide if I want to be using the British spelling of words (eg 'humour' or 'humor'), and periodically not being able to decide which pronunciation I want to use for certain words.

Hell, sometimes I use different pronunciations _in the same sentence_, especially if I'm talking to someone who pronounces certain words differently than I would, but in a way that also makes sense to me. (or, worse, if it's a way I used to try to pronounce a word until I realized that no one around me did).

*shakes head* I'm _so_ glad I'm not trying to teach anyone English, because I'm confusing _myself_, here!

(for that matter, I've never been able to figure out if it's spelled 'gray' or 'grey')
