May. 18th, 2004 05:13 pmThis question pleases me...
On a warm night, a gentle rain begins and the sky is lit bright as day by occasional flashes of cloud-to-cloud lightning. You:
a) Hide under the bed!
b) Ignore it.
c) Run to the window to watch.
d) Run outside to dance and play!
D! D, dammit! (if I can, that is)

Date: 2004-05-19 04:24 pm (UTC)You will need a map or good directions to find it, as there are no signs on the approach roads.
I've been there several times; it's nice, and rarely crowded.
There's a caretaker's house on the property, but it's not a no trespassing zone or anything.
Go here:
http://www.thetrustees.org/pages/371_ward_reservation.cfm
It would seem to be less than a mile from your house; you could probably bike to it easily.
There is an access road to the top of the hill, which is gated, but it might be possible to bike to the top.
If not, there is parking at the bottom of the hill, and several routes to the top (see the trail map online).
If you're interested in going with someone else, I'm happy to go back there sometime.
