Putting on pants, both legs at a time

I never understood the saying "He puts his trousers on one leg at a time, like everyone else." For one, Superman clearly can put his tights on both-legs-at-once. For two, any Joe shmoe can put on his pants both legs at once by sticking his or her butt on the bed...I often do this...

Now, when you have split pants, like in 15th century hose (where the two legs need to be laced up seperately to points in your underwear), then it gets tricky...

Ah, but I sorta forgot an important piece of information. The whole 'leaping into the air' aspect of putting both legs on at the same time. Not the easy method of just sitting down!

Well, fruity people leap into pants with both legs. Silly people put on their pants both legs at a time, but do it in zero-g so there is less chance of injury.

Or, to put it a different way, people who act fruity are fruits. People who act silly are...sills?

i don't actually know if i consider it silly or not! i've done it, i've seen people do it, and i...yeah, i don't have an opinion either way, and while it never struck me as particularly silly, it's also never struck me as *not* silly.

It's that he was doing this by leaping into the air while pulling his pants on, and not that he was sitting down to do this. :)

I frequently roll back onto my shoulders, and put on a pair of pants that was previously behind me on the bed.

The first time my step-mother saw me do this, she said, "If you ever date anyone, she's going to think you're weird when you do that."

I replied, "If it takes that long, she's not very perceptive."

Coordinated! That's what people who can do that are. I'm way too clumsy to be trusted to try that sort of thing without injuring myself or furniture :)
