These are often referenced as not behaving or being naughty, but are not negative things.

See, this is like the word "nasty" being used in a positive way: I will simply never get it.

I am entirely unable to explain why I also have trouble with 'nasty' being used positively, but am sufficiently able to understand 'not behaving' or 'being naughty' used in that manner that I use it myself. Possibly that I never heard those words used much in any other context.
