I am... confused by your confusion. But will do my best to explain.
In this particular case, I am referring to her strong tendancy toward being a bit of a brat (but not in a bad way), toward being a (pleasant) tease, toward being mischevous. These are often referenced as not behaving or being naughty, but are not negative things. They do, however, make it very difficult for her to claim that said things are being done innocently, without awareness of effect or without intention. :)
I am entirely unable to explain why I also have trouble with 'nasty' being used positively, but am sufficiently able to understand 'not behaving' or 'being naughty' used in that manner that I use it myself. Possibly that I never heard those words used much in any other context.
