So tired I'm shakey, and the plane doesn't leave for another 1.5 hours. Traveling west to east really does seem to be much, much harder on me, completely ignoring layover time.

Hopefully I manage any sleep at all on my next flight, since time zone confusion meant I basically got no sleep from MEL to LAX.

At the very least, I hope I'm not some horrible combination of jet lagged and exhausted that I can't sleep tonight even with melatonin (yes, I do sleep with sufficient difficulty that this is a reasonably possibility).

West to east is way harder in my experience, too. Hope you get some rest on the plane!

Good luck on sleeping. This sounds like a definite case of needing a vacation after the vacation. Considering that it was Oz, when you do this again, possibly you can look into coming back over Asia and Europe.

Poor!

Yeah, going to you tires me more than coming home.

Now you can be amazed by how many hours I *do* stay awake when I first see you! 8->

(And by my coming home once, showering and going to work!! 8-P)

Still hasn't mostly sunk in that you're no longer here, yesterday felt like a scheduled day with one of the others...

Well, I mean, I _did_ plan to give myself a weekend, and am intending to work from home on Monday. So I should be ok. :)

*nod* I think I had heard that was true, and it makes sense, what with the whole going in the opposite direction of the sun thing.

Except... that I'm now wide awake. So no, not really. ;)

_That_ impressed me before I ever made the trip, actually. :)

Mew...

It was _immensely_ difficult to leave you in the airport. So, yeah...

I'm also having trouble with figuring out what 'yesterday' means, in every single conversation I've had since I was home. Because, having traveled for over 24 hours, and mostly not slept, 'yesterday' is the night before I left, for me. :) Made [livejournal.com profile] jasra's explanation of why you knew that there was not lemon poppy seed muffin available very strange sounding. :)

I did manage to pass out for an hour or so of broken sleep. Of course, now I'm wide awake... Meh. :) I read email and pet a kitty and take sleep pills and hope!
