Pretty Ring Galaxy

Currently attempting to investigate severe weather in the continental US, in terms of times of year it tends to happen, and where, so I have a general idea of when I do not want to be in specific parts of the US during my year of wandering. I pretty much already know the Northeast's weather (I'm intending to try to avoid wanderings involving snow, for example). Everywhere else, not so much.

Wikipedia makes me happy, as it appears to be the most useful source of this kind of information thus far.

*intense glee* Eeeeheeheeheehee!

Yes, you are correct about my liking of these pics. Indeed, I now feel the need to point [livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha at them.

Yay!

Nicest weather on the No. Cal. coast, btw, is in September and October. No guarantee on quakes.

No. Cal. coast: noted, although that's where I'm ending up at the end of the year of wandering, so there's a little less leeway there. Of course, I'm intending to _stay_ in SF for a while, so I ought to be able to be at least a little exploratory while there. :)

Quakes: known. But, they aren't weather, although they are natural phenomena.
