I am having _such_ a strong 'not sure I want to go to Baitcon' thing, partly due to large crowd, partly due to the fact that few (no?) people I'm highly close to will be there (as far as I know. Some who I'm somewhat close to, though, which helps). I think that if I were not being someone's ride, I'd decide against it, at this point. Actually... I might poke the person whose ride I'm being, to see if they can find another at this point (probably not, but worth asking).

Where the hell did my 'I'm very social in summer' thing go? Sure, I'm more social than in winter, but... Meh.

She was, yes. She's leaning toward not, though, which is part of what brought me from 'unsure' to 'don't think I want to go'.

I may be doing some sorting out of how I feel about camping soonish, soonish being after I move... my immediate reaction to camping is "oh hell no", but that is due to the fact that my camping experience = sleeping bag and cheap tarp, not cabin - and involuntary participation, forced hikes, with an organization that later got shut down for killing kids. I accept that this is different. :) But my brain processes camping as *that*.

Why I'm going to be sorting out - docorion and a few other people have brought up a BDSM con that's at a campsite that they'd like me to go to. Con with my beloved & friends can potentially outweigh that reaction. Will think about it.

Certainly isn't anything I need to deal with immediately, though...

*nod* If I go, and I can find y'all, I will. :) Wasn't sure if you were going or not, actually, so it's nice to know you are.

And yes, the possibility of you and your crew being there are (among others) why the uncertainty about going isn't more definitely not wanting to go. Y'all will be there, as will bbbsg, last I knew.

I'm just... _tired_. To the point of, if I can find my manager to let him know, I'm going to probably go home early and sleep. It's not as if I'm useful at work today, anyway.

Social in summer is difficult when it's so frikkin hot that you can't sleep at night. I feel like ass. Sweaty, underslept, craky ass. Plus, an underslept me means someone who's more likely to have little things bug her to the point where she is bad company to be around. I'm going to go find someplace air conditioned to be today, and hopefully by Baitcon, I'll be better rested.

Most of my previous experience with camping has been as a Boy Sprout, but I figure this'll be different... for one, I'm doing this on my own terms. Not to mention that a seriously wide swath of my social circle does Baitcon and I've felt I've been missing out all these years.
