Global Frequency is an excellent comic by Warren Ellis; it gets hardcore, so I don't know if you'd like it, but you're welcome to borrow my copies.

Flaw in story that had me reading no further, though: It's not Miranda Zero who makes the call. Ever, IIRC. It's Aleph. Argh. Fanfic writers should read the source material!

Thank you for pointing that out -- no one else had caught it, or if they did, they didn't bother to say. I have read the source material, repeatedly, but since I wrote and posted from work, research, not so much of an option.

I'll dredge out the TPBs and look into revision this weekend.

Hmm. I note that she's already replied to you, but I'm curious as to why you didn't comment on the story flaw _there_? She's actually one of the people I read whose stories I consistantly like, and who I expect would really appreciate being told when things are off. So... yeah!
