Apr. 26th, 2005 11:23 amI am frequently reminded of how much I enjoy good writing.
I will read fanfic about things I know nothing, if I know that the author is a good one. I will friend journals for no other reason than because they write good fiction (I have a few of those). I _like_ stories which catch my attention. And I like following characters.
(Incidentally,
rosefoxwrites,
godkin,
midnight_mare,
teratogenesis,
writerbrain - all writing-specific journals.
The
godkin journal even has the ability to donate, which makes me happy. I like being able to encourage people to write, as well as make it a little easier for them to survive while doing it.
There are others on my friends list who randomly write things and post them, but that's different.

Date: 2005-04-26 07:27 pm (UTC)I do, simply because, that way, I know what I can safely save for (potentially) later reading without missing something specific to someone's life.
Also, when I'm suggesting fiction for reading, I prefer to be able to suggest something which isn't cluttered with other things. So I won't suggest people who happen to randomly write fiction in their journals, no matter how much I might enjoy that fiction.
