*shrug* I suspect it's just yet another attempt to say 'leave us alone, you people are crazy', and doesn't intend to imply that one who _is_ of Semitic descent cannot be in the 'Other People' category.
Besides, I suspect that it's very likely that the Witnesses who were visiting were _not_ of Semitic descent.
