She also left food in the fridge labeled 'eat me'. This is a source of immense amusement to me.
I am working from home today because I'm not convinced I'm safe to drive. Also, my head hurts a lot. And I don't think it's sinuses, for once. Perhaps I should take my temperature. And/or take some pain killers. I'm hoping staying home will be enough to fight off whatever the hell is trying to get me sick.
It's really unusual for me to not be entirely sure that I _can_ get up in the morning. This morning was like that. So odd.
Electric blanket and decent humidifier, hooray!
(incidentally, it amuses me that LJ's spell checker thinks 'ayalanya' should be 'eyeliner'. For that matter, why does it not seem to understand contractions like "I've"?)
I've been all organized and got rid of a whole bunch of expired meds. My bathroom is now less cluttered. I also decided that my contacts were going to expire soon, and I don't seem to ever want to wear them anymore (note: I wore contacts from about 1992-2000), so I got rid of them. And am trying to find a home for some unexpired and unopened saline solution and No Rub contact cleaner stuff. If my sister doesn't want them, anyone want them?
*randomly dazed*
Edit: Working from home means I can sing along with my music. Oh, the joy.
However, I'm constantly being reminded of how out of it I am by the fact that I repeatedly find myself doing something entirely different than what I intend to do. And clicking on the wrong damn thing. Repeatedly.
But. Warm blankets. And pajamas. And bathrobe (type: bathroom). And a warm computer and a warm kitty. And still, my fingers are cold. Sheesh. Actually, I think my feet are, too.
And there were leftovers for me to heat, rather than making food. Or eating granola bars all day. If I thought I wouldn't get stupidly tired standing, I might make myself chicken soup. Mmm. Soup.
Yep. I'm entirely too cold for sense. I'm going to go find my thermometer now. Hey, maybe I can be all feverish and amused by it! (y'know, that would explain the degree to which I slept really deeply last night...)

Date: 2005-02-22 06:21 pm (UTC)Um...
What?
Hope you feel better!
Actually, beyond the dazedness and vague lack of functionality, I don't feel _bad_. I can never figure out why, but non-sinus headaches - even fevers - don't actually make me feel bad. Just dazed.
But yes. Being healthy would be nice. So would my ears not suddenly deciding that they should ache. I'm glad I'm not flying anywhere any time soon!

Date: 2005-02-22 10:35 pm (UTC)See, I went to work yesterday. It wasn't a road condition-type reason for not going to work, it was a dazed and probably not safe for me to be driving reason.

Date: 2005-02-22 11:57 pm (UTC)You said "I'm not convinced I'm safe to drive."
I read "I'm not convinced it's safe to drive."
We now return you to your regularly schedule making of sense. Remember, the eleven o'clock show is completely different from the six! ;)

Date: 2005-02-22 10:37 pm (UTC)A lot disconcerting to decide to take a break for a nap around 3, and sleep for two hours. I don't usually _sleep_ when I nap. And this whole having amazing trouble getting up out of bed thing is really irritating!

Date: 2005-02-23 02:14 am (UTC)I still miss my naps.
One thing that I have learned is that I sleep best when I can get in multiple of 90 minutes of sleep. 2 hours would have been too much (unless 30 of those minutes wasn't really sleeping, but resting).

Date: 2005-02-23 03:27 pm (UTC)Wow. I'm so very impressed!
And it was probably about 30 minutes of relaxing enough to be in a good nap space. But normally, I only doze, and only nap for about 1 hour, including the 30 minutes of relaxing. Thus my shock.

Date: 2005-02-24 03:14 am (UTC)If I was to nap for an hour I'd feel worse than I would had I not laid down and napped. I always look at the time. If I'm exhausted but I don't have time for a 90 minute nap (plus 15 minutes for "relaxing/falling asleep" time, I don't lie down. I've learned that it's better to stay up and go to bed early if I can.

Date: 2005-02-25 03:39 pm (UTC)Huh. I've heard of that problem. I think I don't have it because I don't usually actually _sleep_, just rest.
