The Just How American Are You? Test, http://www.okcupid.com/tests/take?testid=5644794367446528456

Tourist: You scored 23 Patriotic, 15 Lazy, 0 Power Hungry, and 84 General Knowledge!

Congrats! You know a lot about America, without actually possessing the personal stereotypical American characteristics. Perhaps you are an American who simply doesn't act as lazy and power hungry as most of the others. Or perhaps you googled a few questions to get some answers. Or maybe you just paid attention in class?

*laugh* Look! I'm a tourist in the only country I'm a citizen of!

Yeah, apparently I'm a foreigner as well. Heh!

So where do you _REALLY_ come from? ;)

*laugh* Nor am I. I wonder what made me a tourist rather than a foreigner?

Probably knowledge of the country. It'd be fairly logical - generally if you're visiting a country you learn more about it than the average non-resident knows.

Ah, yes. That would make sense. I appear to have picked up a lot more info than I thought. Perhaps affected by them asking about songs, and such, which I tend more strongly toward being familiar with.

Same here. So the question is, what is the nifty country we get to go back to?

I don't know! Now I want to know!

Can I have my very own country?

I don't know where I'd _put_ it, though... Hmm...

I'm not sure if we each get our own or if we have to share.

I don't know where I'd _put_ it, though... Hmm...
If we're sharing, I propose somewhere warm and sunny, with enough space we can convince our friends to immigrate.

Yes! But there needs to also be parts that are rainy and dark, for those strange (http://www.livejournal.com/users/australian_joe) people (http://www.livejournal.com/users/ladytabitha) I know (http://www.livejournal.com/users/rosefox) who prefer that.

I nominate Freedonia (http://www.freedonia.org/)!

Date: 2005-02-03 10:09 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] wispfox.livejournal.com
That doesn't look to be a physical place, though. Is it?

From: [identity profile] ian-gunn.livejournal.com
No, but they're working on it. On further reading though, I retract my nomination. I was going with the Marx Brothers quote. The guys on the other end of this Freedonia appear to be staunch Libertarians. Libertarianism is almost right, except most of the ones I know are far more focused on economic freedom vs. personal freedoms.

*snot* silly quiz. There were two questions I would have answered "none of the above" it it was an option. I deliberately answered wrong on the pledge of allegiance one, even though I learned it with the "under god" phrase.

Tourist
You scored 39 Patriotic, 12 Lazy, 6 Power Hungry, and 103 General Knowledge!

*grin* I thought about answering wrong to that question, and agree that there were some questions which annoyed me because of the available replies.

You scored 20 Patriotic, 13 Lazy, 2 Power Hungry, and 83 General Knowledge!

Which puts me in the same category as you, which amuses me deeply. Yay for being a non-stupid American!

La! Tourists unite!

I still want to know where we are all _actually_ from, though. ;)

The Blue States of America ;P.

*grin* But I wanna live somewhere warmer! And with more sun! Dammit, if I get to be from a different country, it should actually be _different_! ;)

They tell me California is warmer. Well, parts of it at least. But I'm with you, we should have a nice place that hardly anyone is using, like a few of the smaller islands of Malaysia or the Phillipines. I bet if we ask nicely they'll give them to us for a small fee ;P.

So I've heard. ;)

Hmm. _I'd_ like that, but I am close to entirely too many strange (http://www.livejournal.com/users/australian_joe) people (http://www.livejournal.com/users/ladytabitha) who prefer _not_ bright sunlight or warm. Weirdos (http://www.livejournal.com/users/rosefox).

Perhaps we need two sets of locations. One for the warm-weather sunny people, and one for the rainy and dark people. Preferably close to each other.

Is that even _possible_?

*laughs* Obviously I should have read the other threads before replying to my own...

Warm and sunny it is, then.

Tourist too. I'm noticing how all the cool people are falling into the same category (or similar, like foreigner)

Well, it _was_ fairly biased toward people who are actually labeled as American being people that I, at least, wouldn't like much.

Grrr. I got through the entire quiz, and then it refused to go on because the final question barfed: it offered me, as a choice of birth year, "
for (i=1910; i<=1988; i++) {
	document.write(
" or "
	if (i == "")
" -- and then said "that's not a valid year, could you fix it?" Well, no. :(
