Wow. The fact that they still had insurance and had to declare bankruptcy. Just, wow.

Once again, another reason why I have to hug my socialized health care system every once in a while. Not that it's perfect or anything, but man...

Insurance has a finite amount that it will pay out. Also, people with serious health problems have difficulty getting good insurance, let alone paying for it. This is caused by the people with good health not paying for insurance in many cases, so the insurance companies have to pay lots of money to the serious clients they have.
