Was bored, took pictures of the snow falling outside right now. They're here, because I'm playing with LJ's gallery feature (which I think is in beta right now?).

There's also a picture demonstrating an aspect of my cat's determined patience in the face of strange human behaviors.

Yep. It's snowing. And not raining or sleeting (yet). Eventually there will be sun again, and then - if the snow doesn't all melt first - it will be _BRIGHT_ out.

Change the username in the URL to yours, instead of mine. At least, that's what I did. :)

(There will then be a 'manage' button. Or something)

Hey! There are pics on my camara of your jewelry stuff. You need them, or can I delete them?

Scrapbook (http://pics.livejournal.com/) is in beta, yes. That's why there aren't FAQs on it, but there is the [livejournal.com profile] fotobilder_user community.

Ooh! Snow! And kitty! I like!

(And here I thought one of my kitties was the only one who tolerated coins being placed on her.)

*laugh* Ok, I'm amused that there are multiple people who cover cats with coins. :)

It's going to seem very strange to have snow there, since I've only been there in the middle of summer. I like it already!!!!

*laugh* The idea of it seeming strange to have snow in the Boston area is, in itself, very strange to me. :)

Oh, I've been in Boston snow before. The majority of my Boston visits have been in winter, in fact.

What's going to be different is being with you, in your place, in anything other than midsummer.

Hee! I can't wait!!

I know.

I don't think I understand how this makes sense when you are familiar with the Boston area in the wintertime. I think it doesn't, in my head. :)

I've been in Boston when it's snowing, and I think of you as basically being in Boston. (I know you're not, but the distinction is pretty small from the other side of the world.)

But I don't have full transitive closure here - just because A=B and B=C in my head, A doesn't fully equal C. I've never had you and snow coincide, and that will be new. I also have a very definitely summer context for your place and it will look very different to me! Imagine if you were taken out of July and into January - it'd be quite different, yes? That's what I'm facing. 8->

I think that your explanation only continued to confuse me, but I figured it out.

a) You are familiar with Boston in wintertime.
b) You are familiar changing to the opposite season when you go to the US
c) You have only been to my Boston-ish place in the summertime.
So:
You theoretically realize that there will be snow here, and have in fact seen snow in this general area many times, but as you have not actually been at _my_ place - specifically - in the wintertime, you cannot actually really understand it.

Yes?

If so, your explanation was actually only confusing me more. :)
