Hello, loopy person here.

Apparently lack of sleep/jet lag, immense impatience (9 days!), and the fact that I don't have nifty SF people to visit with instead of being at work is _not_ a good combination.

I keep alternating between utter exhaustion, random 'ooooh, _shiny_!' moments, babbling endlessly and not terribly coherently, and wanting to hang out with any number of the nifty people I know (who happen to be annoyingly scattered, but at least some of them are local!).

Also, I'm hungry (again). And jittery/tired/bouncy/randomly singing along with the music playing in my headphones (hopefully softly enough to not annoy my co-workers, since I appear to have very little control over it today). (and this is _without_ caffeine)

Wee! I need fiddle toys in my cube. And/or dangly things to bat at or flick or poke.

You know, even if I _did_ have a teleporter, I bet I'd keep forgetting time zone differences... and things like when people are working and not working. Still. Want teleporter. Not that this is news, or anything.

La! Snack time now, I think.

(hmm. LJ's dictionary doesn't know teleporter. That seems wrong somehow.)

Ah, speaking of which - I'm imagining that you'll be booked out for the rest of this month, so how about I come to see you in February? Oh, and are you an Arisia-going person, or not?

Somehow the phrase "Arisia-going sneetches" popped into my head.

Speaking of loopy.

SNEEEETCH!

Like a bandersnatch?

Not very much like a bandersnatch. Snootier. More like a plain-bellied sneetch or a star-bellied sneetch, except Arisia-going instead.

But, but - I have no attention span today! None!

Hyper!

Arisia: no, as their week changed to the same weekend as alt.polycon

February: sure. You want to schedule time now? You are not - by any means - going to be the only person I've not seen in entirely too long by that point, and it _is_ my least social month (modulo SAM-e, which may make that not be a major issue).

Those bastards! What's up with all these events moving around and screwing things up for all of us? When they moved the flea to December, it was clearly out of spite toward me personally.

February time - right now, because this is beyond most people's scheduling range, all my Wednesday and Thursday evenings are free in February. Pick one, and I'll be there.

Blame the Park Plaza. It's their fault in both cases.

Feb 3rd?

So noted. You own me then.

Well, _that's_ an interesting way of putting it! :)

{hugs between sneezes}

Teleportation gooood. Waaaants the teleportation.

Meow! Bad sinuses. No biscuit!

Now I'm trying to figure out if teleportation would make jet lag worse or not - I'd imagine not so much for 3 hours, but for, say, .au travel? Having the sun change position that drastically might be really, really disorienting!

True, but in many cases you fly at night, and have the sun rise at a very very wrong time as far as your body is concerned. Thus, your body had little to no chance to enjoy the steady transition that air travel offers, but the adaptation process is the same.

What would be ideal is to find someone in the new location whose sleep schedule already matches your own. [livejournal.com profile] rampling, for example, sleeps from about 3 am to noon, Pacific Time, so she could easily visit someone who lives in Hawaii. ;)

True! But that only works if that's someone you want to hang out with _and_ you don't want to see anyone else during that time, as I'd suspect (?) that it takes longer to adjust if one doesn't force one's self to do so.
