*decides that it is completely impossible to eat a nectarine without juice going _everywhere_*

I must own this book. Eventually. Tasty book. Seen (for the second time; I don't remember where I first saw it) on [livejournal.com profile] bridgetester's journal.

*generally adores [livejournal.com profile] starandrea* And today's notice page shows what reminded me yet again of this fact. ;)

[livejournal.com profile] tacit has interesting thoughts on communication - none of which were particularly news to me. Oh, no, wait - I was surprised to note that my inability to remember word-for-word what was said to me five minutes ago isn't unusual. Of course, I take it to an extreme, in that I can't remember word-for-word what was said to me a minute ago, usually, and generally can't remember what _I_ say word-for-word, either.

(seen lots of places)

The astronomical alphabet is also really nifty.

Now, I go be lemming-ish. And then! And then... I post about my major dislike of transition states.

I haven't a clue!  Alls I know is, when I posted my library list a few $time_units ago, I image.googled for "book lust", and found that book.  :)

But ... I thought that was the point!

Well, yes - but not when I'm at work. ;)

peaches, nectarines, and plums

/me makes note to at least have such available in September. Whether they are consumed or not always variable.

So, what fruits do you like? Are you more into apples? bananas? citrus? specific citrus?

I find that I like bananas quite a bit and will probably have some once I think my tummy is settled. I'm hoping that it will be the first food that I'll keep down.
This area is a very good place for apples as well. There are many more varieties of apples than I knew existed.
Pomelos are quite good when we can get them. Kumquats too. And soon it will be longan season and I'll be able to get fresh longans. Yay!

Apples, no - I don't like the skin at all.

Bananas - good, but not a gigantic fan.

plums, peaches, nectarines - all good.

grapes go in the same category as bananas.

Citrus, if juicy (a concern often enough here, since they are not native to New England), are good. Grapefruits and oranges. Lemons are good, but I eat them rarely on their own.

I have no idea what any of the fruits you listed in your last sentence taste like.

I like mangos.

Cherries are yummy.

Not a fan of the green melon whose name I can't remember. Cantalope is good, when ripe. Watermelon sorta bores me.

Can't think of anything else right now.

I hope you're feeling a bit better by now?

Yes, I'm feeling better although I'm under a major crunch because I have to make up all the time that I missed and so have been pretty much head down coding with only occasional glances at my friendslist.

I think the green melon you can't recall is honeydew. There's also wintermelon but that's only going to be at oriental grocers.

If you're interested, we can probably get kumquats. The other two won't be available in September though.

Back to work. Hope you're continuing to have fun...

Wow, that's awesome! Hadn't seen it before.

Now can you name the different type of phenomena shown?

Nope. But it's pretty damn rare for me to be able to name anything, ever. ;)

It seems to me that I should just friend anyone that you think is interesting. It would save me time and the results would be the same...

La la la, I friend shiny people, la la la!

Nope. I haven't looked at the "tell me about someone" post yet. I just friended [livejournal.com profile] tacit. I've friended all three of the people that you mention in this post due to your journal. Two of them because you said "read this".

Yes, I'm familiar with this problem. I try to read everyone on my friends list but under work crunch, I just read a small restricted list. It bothers me some but I'll get over it.

And my own personal favorite: asking a question and then not being able to remember the answer mere seconds after hearing it.

Hee! Yes. Although in my head it's more that sometimes I have to start to ask the question again before I realize that it's already been answered. :)
