It's just _wrong_ to be suddenly and painfully exhausted at 8:30pm. But then, I do tend to find dim light makes me sleepy, and combining that with jazz (good jazz, mind: http://www.actonjazzcafe.com/) seems to make me even sleepier. And going to bed the previous night ~11:30 probably didn't help.

But! Good food and good music. I approve of the Acton Jazz Cafe.

Also, [livejournal.com profile] naamah_darling has an amusingly decribed metaphor

Huh. OK, I think [livejournal.com profile] cadhla's fanfic has now fallen into my 'I don't care if I know the setting, I'll like it anyway' category. It might be labaled Star Trek, but it's not one I'm familiar with!

I am oddly amused by the fact that people apparently don't mind it when I want to do such strange things as do laundry and look at apartments while they are visiting me.

Whereas, in my head, I'm feeling like I'm saying 'hi! Come visit me! And then we will do things entirely unrelated to you being here!'. Even though if I were in their place, I wouldn't mind, either. *laughs* Eventually I will stop expecting everyone else to be oriented toward Doing Things and/or being Focused On Visiting People while hanging out, even though I'm not. (if nothing else, I don't tend to get along as well with people who have strong goal-orientedness in their head relating to spending time with people)

Also, my brain is entirely too obsessively conscious of me wanting an apartment already. And [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe being here soon. And my cat being entirely too confusing for words, health-wise.

And. There was something else. I swear. But it appears to have left. Ah, well.

Well, there's this evil yet fascinating link from [livejournal.com profile] woodwardiocom. For which [livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha currently hates me. (I note that I gave up on it)

OK, so [livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha and I are capable, together, of solving that damned logic puzzle.

This pleases my OCD, my logic puzzle fascination, and all sorts of other things.

I DIE OF GLEE! And all sorts of other 'things are now right with the world' things. THE RIGHTNESS! It... satisfies.

(she posts the solution here - only click if you don't want to solve it yourself!)

Ooooh. Scientific American Mind exists, as I learned from reading my Scientific American.

It _pleases_ me that this exists, so I must get a subscription.

One of the stories, for example, is Natural-Born Liars: Why do we lie, and why are we so good at it? Because it works
