OK, so [livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha and I are capable, together, of solving that damned logic puzzle.

This pleases my OCD, my logic puzzle fascination, and all sorts of other things.

I DIE OF GLEE! And all sorts of other 'things are now right with the world' things. THE RIGHTNESS! It... satisfies.

(she posts the solution here - only click if you don't want to solve it yourself!)

That is evil. I like it. I'm going to have to solve this one... but I'm annoyed at question 20. Barometers measure pressure, damn it.

That may, in fact, have been the point for that particular question. I don't recall. (IIRC, it says it measures temperature, or something?)

By my definition, none of the answers to 20 are true. One of the answers may fit the logic of the puzzle, but it is not true in the real world.

Perhaps standardized tests don't measure intelligence.

I know that is true, but none of the options for relation to barometer have the same relative relation as standardize test:intelligence. A small annoyance. *shrug*

*sigh* and sometimes I'm too stubborn and literal. Well, at least I have it solved now.

Heh. Thank you. I couldn't figure out where the source of confusion was in order to remove it. :)

I thought the point of question 20 was the same as 19, to give you one free thing to manipulate whatever way you need to make things come out. (I have not finished the puzzle, though)

Nope. 20 actually has only one correct answer (which won't be affected by any of the other questions, either, IIRC).

That was fun! Thank you!

It kept me from thinking about the lesson plan that I haven't yet written for Sunday...

Welcome! And get with your lesson plan, silly! ;)

That _was_ satisfying to solve, and was an excellent distraction. I never got terribly frustrated with it, I just liked how it made my brain work.

I think if I hadn't been playing with and distracted by it at work, it'd not have frustrated me, either. :)
