My car is free! After much effort (and the aid of yet another complete stranger, this time one I never even saw - my car was mostly dug out when I got there, with 'good luck' written in the snow covering the car), much digging, and an awful lot of time trying to escape the ice, snow, and hill.

Apparently the lot in which I park is, in fact, not being plowed... because it was sold to someone who intends to tear down the building it's got, and make the place into a bank. Hopefully next year, since I can't imagine them doing construction work in the middle of winter. (Was conversing with another of the tenants, so I learned this)

This means that I, along with many of the other tenants, are screwed unless we manage to find somewhere else to park that is safe to park overnights during winter parking bans. I _hate_ the excessive lack of parking in downtown Andover. *sigh* Now I get to try to convince random businesses to let me (perhaps along with the other tenants, if that is helpful) buy a spot off of them. Not that there are many businesses with lots in downtown Andover!

On the plus side, I now know of other possibly less difficult to get out of spots I might be able to use in the lot that I'm currently using. Hopefully they'll give us warning before they take it away from us!

Boy, my hands hurt. Much, much shoveling today. But less than I would have had, because it was warm enough that the ice was melty-ish and therefore _possible_ (sometimes) to remove, and because of the random stranger who freed my car and left a nice trail on which I could drive.

Yep. Hands, arms, and back hurts. I really need to remember that it's _not_ a good idea to shovel stairs from above them. Below is much nicer to my back! And I am slowly making headway on the ice on the stairs, since it's been above freezing. Not quite _gone_, but less...

(I need a nap before work group. My _god_, I'm tired and achy. But then, I suppose multiple hours shoveling show would do that.)

[livejournal.com profile] australian_joe'll be here Weds night, for almost three weeks! So will [livejournal.com profile] bridgetester (for two days)! And [livejournal.com profile] rosefox and [livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha will be visiting and (if I'm social enough) going to Psinging with [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe, [livejournal.com profile] ayalanya, and me (I keep wanting to change that to 'I', but that'd be wrong) on Friday! And [livejournal.com profile] starandrea and J-who-has-no-LJ will be here Saturday!

Sunday, though. Sunday is _MINE_. (and [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe's) *holds next Sunday protectively and possessively*

I'm _so_ going to be hiding in my room for at least some of this. That's a _lot_ of people, especially for winter when I'm working. And J-with-no-LJ is not... low intensity interaction, usually.

But! Yay people! Especially the ones I've not seen in too long, [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe and [livejournal.com profile] starandrea!

*remembers to drink more water*

You know, I should suggest that everyone who interacts with me should randomly remind me to drink water. That would be funny, as well as likely useful. (might get annoying eventually, though)

(my, I look especially elfish in this icon...)

(Oooh! And it looks promising that I'll manage to get to see [livejournal.com profile] shadesong briefly while she's in the area for Arisia, even though I'm going to APC)

Nap now.

Oooookay...

My ceiling is leaking.

At a fairly steady rate, even.

Called landlord; left message. Can't get anyone's attention in the apartment above me, although it's entirely possible it's the snow melt and not that they have something leaking. At least it's the office and not, say, the bedrooms.

For now, there are buckets. Technically, wastebaskets.

My _ceiling_ is _leaking_!

I'm glad I had reason to go in there, since that's not a room I frequent, especially in the winter (because it's very poorly heated and insulated).

Apparently, the correct reply to me saying 'thingy' (I believe only if not contained in at least a vague attempt at a sentence) is 'Buh!'. If nothing else, it results in much breathless laughter on my end (at least if it's someone who saw my excessively 'thingy'-ful post from recently).

I _MISSED_ work group. More specifically, I missed working with energy. We'd been doing an awful lot of journeywork-like things for the past bunch of meetings I'd made it to, which - while interesting enough - are not _nearly_ as fascinating for me.

Wee, energy work! Wee, spontaneous partly-related return of libido from the depths of exhaustion and stupid kidney stone and stomach bug! (probably also related to lots of other things, but I suspect playing with energy helped quite a lot)

I. Am. Not. Subtle. Even without a 'Buh!' (At least not usually. Probably because subtle Does. Not. Work. on me)

"Stop chewing!"

(Meow!)

Punchy [livejournal.com profile] dancingwolfgrrl is fun!

I am pleased by work group, not just for itself, but because I don't think I would otherwise have become as close to as many of the members as I have become. And that would have been sad! Many nifty peoples...

There was Zim and snuggling with [livejournal.com profile] volta last night. It was good! The insanity of my past week rather meant I was low on snuggly goodness, and hadn't even realized it! This will not be a problem for ~3 weeks, starting Weds night. *glee*

I sleep now. For there is work tomorrow!
