Quotes on my wall:

"Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections but instantly set about remedying them - every day begin the task anew." -St. Francis De Sales

"You often overlook the choicest things in life because they are so easy to obtain - the sunrise and sunset, the starry host on a clear night, the taste of fresh clean air, the sight and smell of flowers and trees, and the fresh rain on your face." -Emmet Fox

I want to see some Animaniacs, due to lunchtime conversation.

I also want bright, shiny, colorful shirts!

How often should I defragment my sex drive? - idea played with on [livejournal.com profile] ratatosk's journal. I'm amused. :)

I still like maps. [not political]

Munchkin icons, as mentioned by [livejournal.com profile] woodwardiocom.

I would like to steal the summer away from the people who don't like it and keep it stored in small jars for my use in the wintertime. I would even be willing to give them some of my wintertime, if that were only possible.

I will be in SF for a week in less than a month, and [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe will be here in less than two months!

I need to find a different support-type volunteer job, as the one I was initially investigating seems to not be a good fit. My current goal is to try to find a GLBT youth support group I can be a moderator (or something similar) for, preferably near me (so not Boston area, much as there are bunches of them there). Investigation progressing.

I say 'I' a lot. Except when I stop using most self-referential words.

Interesting article about assumptions, and I've forgotten where I first saw it.

Meow!

First, some surreality, pointed out by [livejournal.com profile] cjsmith. The Righteousness Game

Then, in a complete change of pace, as linked on [livejournal.com profile] nikkinewsnet, some federally-funded abstinence programs are in fact teaching not merely misleading but incorrect sex education to kids. Yep. Interesting idea of education, that...

Along the lines of the button that [livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha mentioned a bit ago, I suddenly want buttons that say nothing more than 'lesbian sheep' on them.

Hey, it might help! Right?

(and yes, the fact that I am probably co-moderating a panel on lesbian sheepitude at apc in Baltomore does relate. Hey, it's either buttons or I try to figure out how to dress up like a sheep while moderating! Besides, I could hand out the buttons, maybe. It would be really funny if people started putting them on in order to indicate interest in someone. If nothing else, it can be a conversation-starter! :)

[edit: This button is too subtle as there are no _words_, but this shirt amuses me. Not quite right, though]

[edit #2: yes, the shirt can't spell. I don't actually intend to buy it, so I cared more about the amusement value of herding lesbian sheep than the spelling. *shrug*]

It is, BTW, very difficult to take a clear picture of something that is the only light source in the room. So I determined.

But! Lights!

Before I sleep, now that I'm tired and not insanely hyper, those who have interest in science fiction and fantasy should go fill out this 15 question readership for short science fiction poll by [livejournal.com profile] infinitehotel.
