Slept well last night, happily enough. Yay, sleep!

Saw a _black_ squirrel on the way into work. I didn't know squirrels came in black! Was a bit startling.

Had frost that hadn't yet melted on my car this morning; need to make sure my windshield washer fluid is good for cold temperatures. Do _not_ want it freezing.

As for sleep; I'm really glad I don't live in Boston, 'cause I'd never have gotten decent sleep.

People were noisy from about 20 of midnight to midnight (and they woke me up), but that was it.

Yay, not living in Boston!

Random bits of questions, more or less related to other conversations I'm having elsewhere. I'll reply to the things I ask in a comment.

-Do things in your head sometimes surprise you?

-If things in your head ever surprise you, how do you handle it?

-Do you feel like you know yourself very well?

-If you don't feel like you know yourself very well, do you want to? Do you feel like it affects your life in any way (positive or negative)?

-Do you feel like it's important to check in with the stuff in your head regularly, or are you confident that you will know about changes in your head when they happen?

-Do you feel the need to share changes in your head with other people? If so, who (names not needed; their relationships to you would probably be useful), and why? If not, and if you can explain it, why not?

[edit: I'm asking this because I'm curious as to how other people's brains might work in this regard]

Not mine, as I was sleeping, but...

three eclipse pictures, by a blog-enabled, but not LJ-enabled, friend of mine.

Does anyone else sometimes toast marshmallows over the stove or a candle?

And do you have patience in your toasting, or do you take the tack of making them burnt to a crisp on the outside because you like watching the flaming marshmallow? (and hey, crispy on the outside and smooshy in the middle is fun, too)

Had my phone replaced last night because its power button was being flaky. However, apparently they got a digit wrong.

I'm working on getting it fixed, but it does mean that anyone who's tried to call me in the last 24 hours (and anyone who tries until I get it fixed) won't get me.

I only even know because I apparently have someone else's phone number, so people trying to call this person keep getting me...

*sigh*

On the phone with my provider right now; apparently the serial number they had was wrong... working on it.

The serial number problem has been resolved, and my phone now knows and responds to its number again.
