directions/elements/associations

wispfox(yes, I know, I have a filter for energy work stuff. I don't feel like using it!)
Contemplating directions/elements/associations on the way home from work group, and they wanted out of my _head_.
Directions -> element:
North, air - probably because I often think of wind as cold, and it's colder to the north of me than to the south (well, until one gets to the equator...)
South, fire - similar reason as above
East, water - There's a whole _hell_ of a lot of water east of me, being on the east coast of the US.
West, earth - Similar reason as above.
Element -> associations:
-air - cold, cooling, music, sound, mental, flighty, distracted, freedom, curiosity
-fire - heat, passion, intensity, change, flickering, motion, excitement, purifying, energetic emotions, creativity, impulsive
-water - cooling, healing, flowing, cleansing, calm, otherworldly, calm emotions, flexibility, comfort
-earth - stability, green growing things, solidity, distance, slow to change, certainty, physical, methodical
There are probably more (indeed, there were probably more in the car), but sleep needed.
Oh! I also learned today that I can actually ground to fire. At least, that is, if what I was playing with was fire energy. I can just give it back... (Mmm. Fire. Now I really want a lightning storm!)

Yes, I know that woodwinds are played with air, but they sound more liquid to me. Electric guitars, harps, and violins sound like air/wind to me, and acoustic guitars are "close enough".
