Today, my back says 'ow!' a lot. More than usual, which is disconcerting. My neck, too. *grumble*

I have a massage scheduled for a week from Thursday. I keep thinking my body would be happier with me to do them twice monthly, rather than once monthly, but... expensive. And I no longer have insurance that covers part of it.

Ah, well. At least I get the once monthly ones! Many people don't, and I used to not, myself.

Also, my left leg says ow. Stupid leg. There's only so much stretching I can *do*, silly legs!

But, stretching every (or almost every) night has made them randomly angry at me less often. And I'm still very impressed that my massage therapist can massage them even when they are upset without causing more pain. I'm still not sure how she does this, since most people not me cannot manage that.

I need to remember to do Yoga more often. Actually, what I need to do is get a pictoral explanation of Yoga moves. I have a reasonable idea of how to move correctly, having taken a bit of Yoga, but don't tend to have enough initiative to *go* to Yoga class lately. And am not convinced that going is any more useful than doing the excercises on my own, if I knew what the positions/moves were well enough.

I also need to remember to inflate my excercise ball, which has been in my car for over a month now, waiting for me to remember. Bad me!

I need to contact lots and lots of people about getting together. But not this week. Next week.

In addition to the people I generally tend to try to see (or at least talk to) fairly frequently, I need to contact my sisters about visiting, since one will soon be in the area from Chicago, and I need to go visit the other and her daugher in RI.

Also, I have not seen my longest term friend in a while. I wonder if I can convince her to visit me? That's a large part of why I've not visited in a while - I don't *like* driving to Hartford, CT.

Also, I think there were a few pending planning stuff going on in my email from before I vanished for a week and a half, although I think they were mostly relating to next month, not this. Thankfully.

There is a wonderful show on the Oxygen channel called Inhale with Steve Ross. I tape the show in the morning and then follow it when I get home at night. You would be able to see the moves and follow whenever you want to do it.

Ah, but you assume I a) watch TV, and b) pay for any channels to watch.

In other words, I don't get the Oxygen channel. :) But thanks!

There are quite a few videotapes and some good pictorial books on how to do the various yoga positions...

On the other hand, pictures of you doing yoga sound like lots of fun. *leer*

Books! Books good! Any suggestions?

*chuckles* I wasn't actually thinking of *me* doing Yoga, since I'm not nearly flexible enough to do most of the poses! Amusing thought, though. ;)

I'll have to look around. I think I've looked at in friends houses and not here though.

As for the second part, I was just interested in getting more pictures of you. Especially in tight yoga outfits. You may've figured out by now that I'm a *polite* lech.

*is amused by repost*

I *think* I now know of something that I like, and have seen in [livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha's place. So no rush. Something called 'The Yoga Deck'.

And, yes. I figured on the pictures aspect. Doesn't mean I don't get randomly serious, though. ;)

Originally it was to change the icon but that doesn't come through the mail.

Being randomly serious is the best way to handle things like that. *smirk*

BTW, a friend posted this (http://www.theonion.com/images/337/image_article2046_418x445.jpg) and I thought of you. Hope you're having an enjoyable day, even if it's cold.

Heee! 'Heard Yoga helps improve breathing; cannot currently breathe'

Thanks for the list!

Yes... I noticed that! Sometimes such things happened because I thought it hadn't heard my first post. Ah, well. :)

True! But it's an uncertain thing, rather than a case of me paying someone to do so. :) Also, I'm bad at asking people to massage me.

I bought the largest size one which turned out to be too large a diameter to stretch on (think tortise on it's back when lying back on it), but just right to sit on at work, much to my more professional collegues chigrin. For under $40 bucks, I have a comfortable seat and somewhat improved posture, with the added plus of being able to stretch on it and make my back *pop* if it tenses up.

Regular exercise with this will help with muscle tone and help stretch those tensed neck and backl areas during periods between the monthly massage.

Yes. Thus why I need to inflate it. :)

Just a little testimonial encouragement, as I have been dealing with a bout of winter stiffness myself :D
