I have the strangest reasons for glee, sometimes. We have some people from Japan working in this office for a while, and just had a bit of a introduction to them as well as some very *very* basic information about what to expect (and not to expect) from them. I forgot to ask about differences in personal space, though - need to track someone down and ask that. I am Question Girl! I derive entirely too much enjoyment from learning about other people, which includes other cultures.

Some words I knew, some I did not. I've asked that we be given them in written form so I have some hope of remembering them. As always, the greatly varied uses of 'hai' - however it's spelled - amuses me.
