Random roommate-related amusements
Mar. 26th, 2003 06:55 pmSo having a roommate has been causing entertaining conversations at work.
Monday evening, walking to my car with one of my co-workers, he made a comment about saying hi to my roommate, and petting my cat. But that I shouldn't reverse them.
My response: "I don't think he'd mind, really."
After a pause, the co-worker said, "No, I suppose not!"
Then, today, while discussing roommates and the lack thereof with a different co-worker, the co-worker made a comment about how if he has no roommates, he can wander around the apartment naked. And how this was not as rare an occurrence as one might think.
And I, being poor at self-censoring with people who I trust reasonably, said something about how I tend to do that *with* roommates, and they don't tend to mind.
A pause. After determining that I was, in fact, talking about myself wandering around naked, his response was something like "Well, of course not! Just hope he doesn't sit down with some popcorn to watch!". This sent me into a fit of giggles for a while. Said co-worker then proceeded to explain that he, normally being a modern and sensitive guy, would still feel the need to eat popcorn and cheer and comment about not having any dollar bills.
This caused more giggles on my part. Unsurprisingly. I'm still very amused by this conversation. :)
This also caused me to have bits of amusement wondering what life would be like if I were to wander in nude to work one day. Never going to do it, for what I hope to be obvious reasons, but mental pictures still entertained me for a while on the way home.
