I actually did not think there _were_ squeezable foods (I thought of Astronaut food, but after I posted).

But y'all have come up with the most fascinating links!

And while squeezy yogurt had me initially very tentative, now I want to get some and put them in the freezer to make yogurt pops. :)

I'm still not sure why I don't think spreads are 'food', even though, say, peanut butter is a spread, and is very definitely food.

But ketchup and mustard and mayonnaise? Not food.

Clearly I need more investigation of what is 'food'. :)

I can attest that this plan works out well, although so does buying tupperware popsicle molds and filling them with yogurt, which is waaaaaay cheaper.

we freeze the yogurty things all the time, but then you need scissors to open them. you can get organic ones at whole foods! (yogurts, not scissors)

Perhaps food, in this context, is defined as something you'd be willing to eat by itself.

I sometimes eat a spoonful of peanut butter as a snack. While I did as a child enjoy eating ketchup straight from the foil packet, it's not something I tend to do now.

Y'know, I was considering that as a working definition, but then I ran into the fact that people will eat _very strange things_ all by themselves. :)

But yes, having it as 'all by itself' vs 'as a meal' helps (I was thinking of the latter, which was posing problems).

Funny that I can't define food. :)
