work, oddity

wispfoxweird moment of the day:
Looking up while walking in one of the main hallways at work, and seeing an inexplicable black thing. While staring at it (because I could not reach it), a co-worker (who is reasonably familiar with me) wandered by, looked where I was looking, and pulled it down.
There was, for no apparent reason, a completely black mouse pad just sitting on top of one of the wall partition things, and it did not belong to the nearest cube's person.
I really do notice the oddest things!
