I'd been ruminating on a post that touches on a similar idea (sitcoms and poly, in my case). But my main point wasn't about poly, it was about stale ideas and lack of creativity. Sitcoms: "someone other than me made my sweetie happy, ONOZ the drama!" Video games: upper levels are the SAME DAMN THING, but faster. Yeah, we know computers are faster than people, stop rubbing our noses in it.
