Talking makes me cough and my throat sad. (so does keeping myself awake coughing all night)

Typing takes points away from doing work and pretty much everything.

If all I'm doing at Arisia is gesturing frantically, y'all will know why.

String a whiteboard or a legal pad, and loop it around your neck.

My mom had her jaw extended to solve major dental problems (braces twice, 7 years each time), and her jaw was wired shut for 6 weeks. In addition to a liquid diet, she kept a legal pad around her neck, and a pair of emergency wire clippers in case of choking.

My dad says it was a very blissful 6 weeks. (Kidding)
