I clearly have been failing to ingest enough water of late. (probably defined as weeks, possibly months)

My right kidney has felt the need to notify me of this via the weird way I get kidney stone pain (it is not immediately at level 8 or 9 pain; I get warnings, first. Unfortunately, at low enough level, I can't distinguish the warnings from muscle pain, cramps, or constipation. Which is unfortunate, because I've had warnings for a few days now, if I'd known what they were).

Now I hope I can manage to ingest enough water tonight to force it through and allow me to sleep (if I don't, stopping ingesting stupid amounts of water _WILL_ cause it to get to level 8 or 9 pain. And I take enough anti-inflams that I'm reluctant to take more to _deal_ with that level of pain).

This is going to be a thrilling night, I just _know_ it.

And it was such a nice day, too!

Stupid kidneys. Fucking ow. Hopefully it remains at warning level intensity...

Also, ow. (also? I think it's both sides. That's just _RUDE_)

(at least I know what it _is_, and I can just drink stupid amounts of water and hopefully avoid the worst of it)

*wrly amused* Why I could not wait until tomorrow to complain about this, I do not know. Perhaps because there is no one here for me to whimper at, and the cat is uninpressed (and perplexed). But! Back to the computer being off, after I post this.

(hug)

For what it's worth I also was ridiculously dehydrated by dinner time both yesterday and today. I think the combination of cooler, drier air and sunlight confused me into not drinking enough, and may have affected you...

(Don't forget a touch of salt with the water...not that you'll read this till tomorrow anyway.)

I had water and grapefruit juice and lemon juice in my water. I don't remember if I added salt or not.

I did, however, successfully prevent it from becoming Truly Evil, and shall drink stupid amounts of water all week.

Also? It's never just a day or two of not enough water that causes this (if I'd known what they were, I'd been getting warning symptoms since Tuesday), it's usually weeks worth.

And, well, I also failed to take my mid-day pills yesterday, as I noticed this morning when I was preparing to collect midday pills and found the previous day's pills still around.

Ow! I hope the pain doesn't last too long, and doesn't disrupt your day too much tomorrow. (And the rest of the week, too.)

It's behaving ok thus far, I think I win (as long as I keep drinking stupid amounts of water this week).

Poor!

Don't forget physical activity helps dislodge proto-stones...

Yeah, there was lots of wandering around the house once I noticed what the problem was, mostly because I _can't stay still_ when that kind of pain exists.

I hope things are getting better; I've never had a kidney stone, but I've heard more than enough about them that you have all of my sympathy.

Well, it's behaving in terms of being less painful, but it's not passed through yet. Annoyingly, because drinking stupid amounts of water gets really old, really fast. (and if I don't, it _will_ get bad)

Thanks for the well wishes and sympathy. :)
