As per this post of [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe, some pictures of me dressed as a cat/elf-girl/something.

Because I am still very amused by the glee he had. :)

Look, I have a tail!

Still have a tail.

Now I have purple hair and a tail, and clearly wonder if I can tie them together. (in order to make the tail visible easily, since it mostly stays behind me otherwise)

See, now, this just raises more questions!

What kind of climate would evolve a catgirl with purple velvet fur?

Are there elven librarians?

How did you wear that dress topless?

Where does the tail attach? (double for the above)

Did you braid your hair into your tail or something?

Do you ever look up when having your picture taken? :D

I wondered if anyone was going to ask that when I saw the pictures you'd selected. :)

But the ridiculous expressions! I don't have them as much when not paying attention to the camera, which is much harder to do when _looking_ at it.

I also have difficulty with unwanted ridiculous expressions. I have found recently that assuming a posture of constrained smugness can mute the silliness. Just think to yourself, "indeed, I am the luckiest person in the world, but I'm trying hard not to appear to be gloating." I find that suppressing the excessive smugness is easier than suppressing silliness, and doing one accomplishes the other.

Wait, who says that was fur that was velvety and purple? :)

Elven librarians seem very likely. Possibly even necessary!

Topless: Just pulled it down (because it was too goddamn warm, mostly) so it was hanging at my waste.

Tail attaches via a ribbon at my waste (with and without the top. ;).

Braid into tail: no, it was already braided, and I was just trying to tie them together.

look up: Yes, but I tend to have utterly stupid expressions on my face, when I do. :)

K objected to the idea of both cat girls and elf girls wearing glasses. I hotly contested her objection. 8-)

And yes, this was a valuable lesson in the power of glee!

I considered removing them, actually, but decided that I wanted to be able to see. Also, there's the fact that I'm prone to looking cross-eyed if I try to look at a camera and cannot actually see. :)

Glee power: Good! It's a good lesson to have. :)
