Seems that ~24 hours at Arisia in mid-January is both ok and can be good. Sleep every other night via useful meds and anti-depressants helps, of course, considering how rough last year was on me.

Saw _lots_ of people. Did a reasonable job of finding time with those who are not local. Did not go to bed until 4am Saturday night, due to combination interesting conversations and the fact that tired me = distractable me. (and I was awake at 9a, and slept poorly due to not being home)

It's really quite disconcerting for me to have people I _know_ I've never met recognize me _immediately_. I mean, it's weird enough for me to have people that I don't recognize do it, but the fact that I am somewhat prosopagnosic (face blind) means I'm at least accustomed to others recognizing me and remembering me from a brief meeting (or even not a brief one). But when I know I've not met someone? Really odd. :)

The oddness is quite possible to be increased by meeting someone in a crowded location and having them comment on being a fan of mine. Largely because having fans weird me _right_ the hell out, but also because that means I'm likely to presume it means that they are someone I don't read, who reads me. This means that when it turns out to be someone I read, who reads me infrequently and does not have me on their friends' list, I will be _really_ confused. (as [livejournal.com profile] theferrett found out!)

I thoroughly failed to recognize [livejournal.com profile] intenselaura, but she completely expected this and simultaneously introduced herself and showed me her badge. Very helpful of her, really. :) And lo, there was much time spent with her and her sweetie C, who I have no idea if actually has an LJ (although I know he reads).

Also much time spent with some combination of [livejournal.com profile] jasra (at and not at Reg), [livejournal.com profile] majes, [livejournal.com profile] ifuonlyknew, [livejournal.com profile] rosefox, [livejournal.com profile] sinboy, Sinboy's-other-sweetie-whose-lj-name-I-do-not-know [livejournal.com profile] shadesong, [livejournal.com profile] yendi, song's daughter-whose-LJ-name-I-do-not-know-and-whose-name-I-cannot-spell, [livejournal.com profile] ayalanya. Also saw lots of people briefly, both that I did and did not recognize (and that recognized me).

Never actually saw some of the people I would like to have seen, but is ok.

I guess it was good I was pretty low on social for the past few weeks, 'cause I didn't actually spend much time hiding in my room (but then, I was only there for ~24 hours).

Much socialness. Much good. Much exhaustion yesterday!

*laugh* Yes, I suppose when you post more than I do, me posting is indeed notable. ;)

I saw you at 'song's party in rosefox's room, but didn't say hi because you were busy talking to too many people.

"Hi" would still have been ok, you know. :)

Great meeting you face to face-blind. Thanks for the great conversation. I would have said the great hours we spent in bed together, but SOME might take that the wrong way.

Ah-ha! LJ username information. Excellent.

I would have said the great hours we spent in bed together, but SOME might take that the wrong way.

And, of course, there would be no possible reason you might feel a need to cause people to take _anything_ the wrong way! ;)

Glad to hear you had a good time, sorry that our paths didn't cross; hope to see you elsewhere soon(ish)!
