I am _so_ goddamn glad I have the Ativan.

For the past week or so, the alternating night that I'm not taking it, I'm up at 4-4:30a and unable to get back to sleep (melatonin helps, but it's a little late to take it when get up at 7:30 and it takes 30 minutes to kick in). I suspect it's because I tend to get up then to use the bathroom, but then my brain is too active to let me get back to sleep again (lots of stuff; worry for people I'm close to, worry about whether or not I get to have two months off to get my wrists more healed, worry about the complication that is the process of trying to get a perm visa in Australia). Probably combining with the fucked-upness with melatonin levels that goes along with seasonal affective disorder. Stupid fucked circadian rhythms. Stupid clouds.

This morning, I took anti-migraine meds because my poor sleep is starting to have me waking up with the weird type of migraine that I tend to get with insufficient sleep (among other things). This includes caffeine, so I'm more awake than I'd otherwise be, but...

Good Ativan. *pets it* (note that my brain is stressed enough lately that even on nights I take it, it can take me a bit to get to sleep. But I _stay_ asleep better and fall back asleep after bathroom stops more easily)

And the Ativan also means that I'm getting reasonable amounts of wrist healing happening on alternating nights.

I heard you this morning and was hoping that you were able to fall back asleep. :(

I woke up at 4-something this morning, and found myself hoping that you weren't awake too. I eventually gave up on the try-to-go-back-to-sleep idea and wandered off to play with my computer.
