Why are so many interesting TV shows creepy? I can't watch Torchwood anymore, because there were too many creepy shows in a row. Same with Heroes. *grumble*

Anything which in any way starts to refer to the apparent big bad tends to have high tension and seems to have high likelihood of something effectively jumping out and saying 'boo'. The second ep had it, the third had too much for me to cope (I was starting to rock due to stress and discomfort, and only noticed when I also started mewing in distress).

I have _very_ low 'jump out and say boo' tolerance, if there is any tension at all around it.

ahhhh, OK, I get it. I actually enjoy those sudden surprises if they are done well, but I understand where not everyone would.

I used to love Supernatural for being light on the boo. No more.

The trouble is, it's not even just it being surprising - I can count down to the "boo", and I'll _still_ jump a foot when the scary thing abruptly pops up (right on cue).

Often, me, too. Annoing.
