Wrist MRIs take a _REALLY_ long time. On the order of 2.5 hours, long.

Sheesh.

And they're noisy. And I kept wanting to harmonize with the strange noises the machine makes while I was in it (I think I may have a few times, even though I was trying not to due to trying to stay still).

Also?

NSPy waits for us when we leave. He spent a bit of time waiting for [livejournal.com profile] jasra this afternoon, but appeared to understand that it'd be a while and stopped after a few minutes.

Woah. They must have wanted really high resolution. It only took them 1-1.25 hours to do my entire brain, in three cross-sections. (Okay, can the jokes... :-P)

I did find myself singing along, especially when it was doing the "whirr...beat. whirr...beat." thing.

They said something about needing lots of pictures, because wrists are complicated. They apparently take longer than anything else.

They probably have to come in from lots of different angles, to get spaces between bones.

My boobs took about an hour each.
