This picture and post are [livejournal.com profile] majes and [livejournal.com profile] jasra's fault.

(The object in question is the result of me being both bored and wanting something sweet.)

Green Pie!

Yes. People should not let me near the kitchen. Remember, I don't cook!

I like you a lot.
Nonetheless, this is scary.
If you want to learn to make, you know, cookies or something, I'll totally teach you....

Scary, yes.

But I'm ok with that, as I know what it contains, and fully expect it'll taste fine and scare anyone around at the same time! Yay!

Also, I _do_ know how to bake. Baking is an awful lot easier than cooking is.

Yes! Except there was no baking involved.

Baking jello is a scary idea. :)

I've got a number of recipes that have got to be at least that easy, which are nowhere NEAR as scary. . .

*amused*

See, I was bored.

The problem was boredness.

I _do_ know how to cook slightly more than that, and am in fact far more capable of baking than of cooking. :)

(also: as easy as making Jello? I already had the crust... if so, I _so_ want to know about them!)

What'd it taste like?

Dunno yet.

I wasn't hungry, since I'd had dinner. May try it today.

(My guess? Like lime jello w/a graham cracker crust. ;)

Like lime jello and slightly damp (because the jello liquid was absorbed by it) graham cracker crust. Not amazing, but not bad. :)

It's a pity you don't like my oatmeal bricks. They're fast and easy to make (if a bit of an arm workout), and if you want something *really* sweet you can just put in the amount of sugar the recipie calls for, instead of only half.

All it needs is a frog to be complete.

I recognize the clear jello, but what are the opaque parts? Left over graham crackers?

Dunno yet! I was just back from dinner, and was not hungry. Shall likely try it today at some point.

Probably just like the ingredients (although the crust will not be crunchy), lime jello and a graham cracker crust. :)

And [livejournal.com profile] minerva42 says it should have koi in it. Glow in the dark Swedish Fish, perhaps, she says. :)

Ha Ha! That's wonderful :) The bits of crust look like mould. Looks tasty too. I would have tried some if I had been close and had been offered some.

Hee. :) Had you been around, and indicated interest in trying it, I would totally have been fine with that.

I'm entertained by the variation in replies; some people are scared of it, and some want to try it. :)

Me, I just had way too much fun finding out what exactly would happen (I knew something along these lines would).

See, this is what happens when too much phosphorus gets into our waterways!!!

... I would've said "algal bloom" rather than "mould".

Extremely scary!!! I don't think I could have been persuaded to eat that.

I don't think I could have been persuaded to eat that.

Ah, but that's perfectly alright. It wasn't _intended_ for anyone else's consumption (although I'm entertained that some people have indicated interest in trying it). Mostly, I was bored, had the ingredients, and doubted it would do anything truly bad.

Instead, I got utterly fascinating results (which I somewhat exected, but not precisely), which I have not yet tried due to lack of hunger, which I full expect to not taste much dissimilar from the ingredients.

And now I get to scare people when I have some. ;)

I really can't imagine that jello and graham cracker crust will do much more than look interestingly unusual. But, I've not yet tried it. :)

Hee. :)

I was at least sufficiently aware of the probability that this result did not at all surprise me. And I doubt strongly that it'll taste like anything other than the ingredients. :)
