I mailed a check to my school loan place last night, and my school loans are _PAID OFF_.

Now, when I get back from .au in February, I can start saving to wander the US for a year and go back to school. This means ~2 years from March (more likely, since I want to start wandering in early summer and it's when I believe I moved into this place, so my lease will be up then, June). Woo!

My sinuses are draining like crazy. This is good, because it means I'll stop having periodic sinus headaches. But bad because it means my body won't let me sleep because it thinks drainage means it's unsafe to sleep. Meh.

Visited [livejournal.com profile] ladytabitha and it was good. We haven't hung out in a while, as evidenced by near constant conversation. And I shall be lending her my Firefly DVDs. :)

Massage tonight. Thankfully.

Damn. I sit in awe of you.

I can't wait to pay off my damned loans. I, too, plan to return to school once they are paid off. Well, and after a suitable period of enjoying being paid a good chunk of money which will no longer be disappearing into the void of debt.

*amused*

Stock options help. Else, I'd still be paying off the last bit.

You anywhere near close to paying them off?

And yay for going back to school! And enjoying one's income! ;)

Ooh, yeah, I bet. With luck, my employer will have some sort of liquidity event (am I a bad person for thinking this sounds like a euphemism for peeing one's pants?) and I'll be able to cash those in soon.

Am I anywhere close? Heh, no. I owe ~$9k on my car, and ~$25k on student loans.

Damn. You own more on your loans than I started with, although you are pretty close on your car.

No fun, that!

'owe' and 'school loans'.

My brain appears to have wandered off. Lunchtime!

As one who fretted quite a lot over paying off my own student loans, I suggest you celebrate. And then next month write the loan company a check for "Zero dollars -- Mwahhaaahhhahaaa!"

Hmm. I was never fretting, as I was always way _way_ ahead with them. It's more... one fewer thing between me and going back to school. So it's a relief. :)

I may have a little bit of interest to pay them next month; not sure.

That's awesome. :) I felt so good when I finished off paying off my student loan. It's freeing in some ways.

*grin* Yeah, mine started out pretty low (~$22k), and I've had a goal of making them gone be very high on my prioroty list.

Thank you! Mine were not as high as many people's here, because I was working while in school. 22k, when I graduated in '01.
