The Cheesecake Factory - to which I have not been before, but with which [livejournal.com profile] jasra was sufficiently familiar to suggest it while we were attempting to locate dinner - does the most utterly charming writing of 'Happy birthday to you' on the edge of your plate of desert, if they know it's your birthday. I'm _still_ charmed. They wrote it in chocolate! And I could read it! Hee. :) ([livejournal.com profile] jasra has a picture of it, even!)

I have no idea how anyone ever answers when people ask how old they feel. I feel... like I always have. Like me! I don't _have_ an age in my head, which is almost certainly why I tend to forget my age unless it's a sufficiently interesting number that I recall it with less effort than calculating requires (27 was easy. 33, and the same number as my birthday day).

La! Petting of my kitty, then sleep. Sleeeeeeep.

Full. Very, very full.

Your 81st birthday will be fun!

... 34 years on the 33 day of the 32 month!

Yes! And by then, I'm _really_ likely to need help remembering my age. ;) (along with everything else)

Nah, memory drugs and supplements will be noticeably better then - and they're already fairly good today!

ie. there's a drug (available prescription only in both our countries) which lets people stay awake for 80 hours without any testable mental impairment, sleep 8 hours and then be able to do it again. Of course it's way too soon to conclude it's totally without side effect, or that it could be done long term, but it appears to completely counter the effects of sleep-deprivation. (ie. sleep-deprived humans and primates on this drug score better on cognitive and memory tests than they do when undrugged and well slept.)

Oh, the drug is modafinil.

That's cool that they do the writing in chocolate. :) I was thinking about hitting the Cheesecake Factory down the highway tomorrow - the thought hit me earlier this evening... Hmm...
