(considering that I have a fondness for pastries and nuts and fruits _already_, plus a sweet tooth when the sweetness is of a good quality, kringle is pretty much a given)

Don't know the former. Not even _remotely_ as sticky sweet as baklava.

It's less about being fruity and more about being sweet and pastry-ish. If I remember, I'll bring some with me next time we hang out (or, if you come to my place, I can just offer some).
