I have such strange ideas when falling asleep.
I really, really want chrome (or some other metallic color) hair dye. Or iridescent hair dye. Or mother of pearl or opal or moonstone!
(Of course, even if these existed, they'd likely have the same pain-in-the-butt problem as the purple dye I have, including the staining everything insight problem and the having to paint it on problem. But. Want!)
Nail polish would probably be both easier and more likely. :)

For that you'd have to electroplate the hair. I suppose you could dip the ends of your hair into electroplating solution, but I'd want to practice with hair that had been cut first. My guess is that the strands would clump together.

Date: 2005-08-23 06:42 pm (UTC)The more I've thought about electroplating hair, the less I think you should do it. The electronic properties of human hair don't match up at all with the electronic properties of metals. I think you'd be better off just putting glitter in your hair.

electroplating hair: wasn't actually intending to try that, no. Prefer to avoid putting things in my hair unless they are supposed to be there! ;)
