If I notice avoidance behavior, what would be the best way to discuss that subject? Meta-discussion about the avoidance behavior?
If I'm in a normal state, and not having trouble processing (I think it's apparent when I am, although I'm not certain), then meta-discussion would be precisely right. If I'm not processing well, wait until I am (if you can figure out how, help to get to a reasonable state is good).
I've done similar behavior in the past, and had it blown up in my face hardcore.
Ditto, on both. It's why I have a fairly good awareness of when I'm avoiding topics, so as to be able to _do_ something about it. Would, of course, prefer to avoid the problem in the first place. ;)
