I blame [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe for the fact that random phone calls are now a valid form of communication in my head, to the point of initiating them with people not him, even! (They used to be something I only did if I had to, usually for scheduling things which are within 24 hours, or for business-related things. I suspect the lack of 'net from home for almost a month also affects this!)

It was a major shame that I was just too damn tired to stay at Diesel. Lots of nifty people, and I was nearly useless for interaction. Alas. Hopefully I'll be useful enough for Diesel before it stops being the right season for me to be that kind of group social...

Psinging Friday! Theoretically, [livejournal.com profile] brynndragon will make it this time. ;)

I begin to suspect that my cat has just changed his behavior such that he thinks he should wake me up when I'd otherwise normally be getting up to use the bathroom, and getting up for work. *sigh* I'd not mind him coming in to check on me/see if I'll pet him if he hadn't started meowing at me (possibly as a greeting, because it no longer sounds intensely depressed and confused)!

That rodent creature appears to be gone, or possibly just really quiet. Considering that I'd been knocking loudly on the wall whenever I heard it, it may have decided elsewhere was a better place to be.

It's... odd to me to be attempting to get into the mind of someone who has gotten out of practice in talking about what they are thinking/feeling vs what they are doing. Just have to help them get back _into_ the habit, I think. ;) (on the plus side, actually asking my piles of nosy questions, rather than expecting conversation to just wander into such places, does work)

Baitcon in ~2 weeks! And having moved means that I no longer have Jury Duty a few days beforehand, so am not having the possibility of having to drive down late on Friday due to Jury Duty. Thankfully!

I've not been to this site, I think, and have only been to baitcon once, ever, so have no sense of such things.

But excellent that your chair goes over such things!

I have my own tag! Neat!

Yea, you digging via questions is really good. Hopefully it'll push-start me into doing it on my own. Man, I really just want to spend the day lying in bed, reading a book, and writing down random thoughts. Why do I have to be at work when I've got nothing to do?

*grin* Yes! You are tagged!

I was careful to not specify _whose_ brain I was digging into, because I tend toward not saying unless people identify themselves (or I've asked), so yay for you saying so. ;)

Why do I have to be at work when I've got nothing to do?

I don't know! But is it possible for you to be writing down random thoughts while at work? Or is that just not the right context to be thinking about such things (I completely understand if that is the case).

I have to find that fine balance between looking busy and not being bored out of my skull. Not easy. I'm sorely tempted to take a half day.

My mother once returned home to find her cat playing with a squirrel tail. She never found a tailless squirrel to go with it, or a way that the cat or squirrel could have gotten in or out of the apartment while she was out.

The squirrel might believe that a mighty hunter lurks within your apartment.

For lo, I am a mighty hunter! ('cause my cat sure as hell isn't. ;)

This is happy making.

The other stuff is as well, but I'm glad not to have critters actively living in the walls.

Is it August yet?

Oh, agreed!

Is it August yet?

Unfortunately, no - not yet.
