wispfox: (curled kitty)

Apparently me meowing at people is contagious. A co-worker informed me at lunch that she found herself meowing at her husband recently, and didn't notice what she'd done until he looked confused at her.

Mwa-ha-ha! Not only do I train people to meow back, but they sometimes start meowing at other people, too!

I picked up meowing and mewing at sweeties (in a variety of different tones for diferent meanings) from my ex-sweetie and still close friend Tien, and Chris (my wife) has picked it up and is also fluent in cat-noise. For some reason, [livejournal.com profile] mactavish has never caught it. ;)

*amused* I now wonder what [livejournal.com profile] mactavish's dogs would think of a human which meowed!

I haven't dared to try it around them.

I've been meowing a lot more now that we have actual cats in the apartment. Seems as though it's causing my language to devolve. Hehe.

I'm amused that this entry is tagged with a multi-level tag. (<a>.<b>)

Multilevel tags only make _sense_! I did that already, anyway, mostly, what with my [subject] things... so I continued the trend!

Yeah, but it makes more sense to me to break that into two tags: "work, amused". Especially if LJ allowed you to view entries matching multiple tags, which I think you cannot do. (yet!)

*psst* I take it you're too busy to partake in psinging tonight?

Hmm. Interesting thought. I shall have to contemplate that idea! :)

Psinging: Yeah, I'm not going to be there tonight, unfortunately.

[livejournal.com profile] points meows at me regularly. :) Yay for people who meow.

So far I only meow at my cat, but I strive in mimicking her sound exactly. Every now and then my husband calls from the other room, "Is that you, or Alyssa?" And I grin in pride.

Meowing back and forth with my cat is as fulfilling as human conversation.

As you should! Go, you! :)
