[moving.furniture]

I'm having a bit of trouble finding a moving company to move just my large furniture (couch, bed, coffee tables) from Andover to Woburn, because I don't want to do it myself (or have friends do it). Any suggestions?

Should I just be asking those of you who are local to help me with that part and a vehicle for that purpose, instead of trying to find a moving company?

Are you close enough to Boston for Craigslist to be at all useful? I don't know how it is there, but here there are tons of guys with vans/small trucks who can be persuaded to move heavy things for a reasonable fee.

When you find someone (who is of the non-friend, non-co-worker variety), could you keep the info for me? I'm definitely not carrying my desk anywhere ever again. :D I did it once when we put it together and that was enough.

Sure! Although, the people I find will be local to Boston. How will you get it _to_ Boston?

The plan is to have someone load my stuff into a U-Haul trailer, hitch it to my truck and then I'll drive all of my worldly possessions to Boston. And then have someone else unload it. :)

I note that I'm just looking at furniture moving. If you're looking for _everything_ to be unloaded, you might want to look at different people. Not sure. Will still give you the info, though. :)
