Fucking. Ow.

But other than that, and the cramps I'm likely to have for today and possibly tomorrow (at about the level of the worst ones I got before I was on the pill), yay!

Of course, I _hate_ having to sit while crampy, so this ought to be an interesting day at work.

Did they put any restrictions on stuff you can take for it? Since I'd think ibuprofen would be, ah, just up your alley right now.

No, and in fact ibuprophen was suggested. Took some pre-insertion; took Alieve at 10am.

(yes, I just said this to you. *shrug*)

Yay for getting it done, though!

Yes! Thus the yay. :)

Ow... I hope the cramps get better soon (and the ibuprofen kicks and and helps a bit).

Cramps are _much_ better than they were immediately after the procedure. But I took Ibuprophen with breakfast, upon their suggestion. So it would probably have been worse, otherwise.

And I think the Alieve is kicking in. Thankfully.

Fucking. Ow.

Yeah, that sounds familiar. (That's what lasted months for me.) I see in other comments you're getting some relief from the Aleve -- yay! I hope you're back to normal soon.

Yeah, that sounds familiar. (That's what lasted months for me.)

The initial intense pain, from dilating the opening and inserting it, or the crampy stuff afterward? (If the initial pain, holy _shit_, how did you cope?!)

I note that "Fucking. Ow." was mostly my reaction to the initial intense pain, not so much the (gradually decreasing) major cramps afterward. The cramps afterward, while highly unpleasant, are pretty much what my cramps were like before I was on the pill.

I'm now very fond of the heating pad I got at lunch. :)

And thanks!

It all felt the same to me. Insertion felt crampy (highly so) and afterward felt crampy (highly so). Better Living Through Chemistry helped me a great deal. :-)

Heating pads are awesome!

Best of luck with its continued use -- I hope it's exactly what you were looking for!

Huh. Dilation wasn't something I'd have labeled crampy (seems far too mild a term)... apparently my body DOES NOT LIKE having my cervix dilated. Fascinating. Of course, the fact that I seem to recall your body already misbehaving in that particular area may simply mean that you were more used to it. Or something!

I suspect that, of the options, it's precisely best. (since they won't let me get sterilized yet)
