So, now my kittie's belly is shaved (poor thing). And I know that surgery would be, by far, the best option, as the mass appears to be self-contained. Another option is to wait three months, and see if it's changing at all. I think I'm leaning toward the latter, if for no other reason than to not stress Ash out if there isn't actually good reason to do so. I shall also, however, be seeing what I can do to afford surgery for him if needed (somewhere around $1600). Apparently my concerns as far as his heart disease don't really apply much, as it's apparently still very mild (I talked to the sonogram guy while he was looking at the mass, as he's also who investigated the murmur).
Hey, at least this time I worked from home, so he didn't spend the entire day at the vets. Poor thing is _really_ starting to hate going outside or getting near the car... (sensible, since he only ever does to go to the vet)

I forget how I found out about it first. The company I work for even offers pet insurance if you want it but I already had some through VPI.
