The weather plugin for firefox is being a tease. It shows possible thunderstorms, but I see no indication of such (well, ok, it's a bit more humid than yesterday). WANT THUNDERSTORMS!

I have no idea why I'm already looking for a place to move to when I won't be moving until July at the earliest. I refuse to move before [livejournal.com profile] ayalanya (because that's just wrong) or while [livejournal.com profile] australian_joe is visiting, so... I should at _least_ wait until next month to start looking, no?

On the plus side, though, I've determined that craigslist is likely to be my best bet for finding a good place, defined as:

1) Must allow cats.
2) Must have somewhere for me to park, year round and when I go on vacation. Preferably off-street.
3) My normal commute cannot be more than 40 minutes (note that I work in Westford). Preferably no more than 30. Strong preference to not be on 95 for any of my commute, as people will go really slowly for no apparent reason.
4) At least 10 minutes closer to the city than I already am.
5) No noisier than where I already am; preferably with no one living above me.
6) No more a month than I'm already paying (modulo parking and utilities costs)
7) Safe enough for my non-city-girl self to wander around at night
8) Space for guests to sleep (preferably a room with its own door, but we'll see)
9) Reasonable internet access

Wants:
1) Near public transit, preferably the subway, both so that people can visit me and so I don't have to drive as many places
2) onsite laundry facilities
3) an east-facing bedroom
4) A second bedroom, so as to be able to have a roommate (if no roommate, it can be used for guests, but I really do much better when living with friends)
5) Fridge (I have one, but really would prefer to leave it here)
6) Central air (I have a window air conditioner, but central works so much better, the few days a year even I find it too hot when combined with humidity)
7) Hardwood floors.
8) Yard

Location-wise, I'm thinking that Stoneham, Reading, and Melrose would be best (for distance and T-access reasons), then Malden, then Wakefield (if I can figure out how to skip 95 for commute purposes), then Arlington and Belmont. Anyone have anywhere else that I should be looking, based on the above?

*ahem* No precipitation on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, OK?. Other than that, go nuts.

I'll second that. I'm not as greedy though, I'll take just Saturday. *poit* 60% chance of rain on Saturday according to weather.com, phuttt!

It's not greed, it's goodwill for my fellow castmates and all the wonderful patrons who will attend our show (http://www.pastimes1.com/kingarthur.html) this weekend.

Wakefield (if I can figure out how to skip 95 for commute purposes)

From most of Wakefield, follow 129 through Reading, which will take you right to I93.

Ah ha! I can appreciate that. I haven't been to Hammond Castle in a long time, and I'm in the SCA even. We are having a house party this Saturday. For both our sakes I hope weather.com is wrong about this weekend.

We're going to get hit with some severe thunderstorms this afternoon. I'll wander around and watch them approach and try to send some of that your way.

As promised, here is a time-lapse of the thunderstorm I am trying to send your way. It hovered over town for about an hour, giving us an inch and a half of rain. No hail or particularly high winds, though. It's been a little boring this spring, so far.

My player refuses to believe that there is anything there. Others I tried won't play it at all. Ah, well.
